The Big Road Trip

YAY! Aunt Michele and Uncle Ray tied the knot! We traveled by car down to Charlotte, North Carolina for the big event. The wedding was a beautiful thing to witness. Lots of love flowing between those two.

From Elijah's point of view, the cake was the best part...

We got to spend a few days in the Smoky Mountains...we'll have to go back when Elijah is old enough to appreciate their beauty.

Here's Elijah, all ready for the big hike at Great Smoky Mountains National Park...

He insisted we stop from time to time to enjoy the view, a reminder to us that a hike is about the journey itself.

We even had time for a puppet show...the next picture was taken at a cool library & theatre school geared towards children and teens in Downtown Charlotte.

We had a great time on this trip...our very first "family road trip," considering the drive was 26 hours roundtrip. Looking forward to many, many more! ~Nasreen

Invite me in on your blog, girl! You must not have seen my reply to one of your comments from a couple of months ago, but your blog has a security measure now (which I like actually) but it won't let me access unless you "invite" me by adding me to your list. Would love to see how Abby's doin' these days. I bet I'll be shocked to see how much she's grown. ~Nas
