Chomp Chomp

Gone are the days of the gummy smiles. Elijah got his first bottom pair of teeth this week. One sprang up on Monday and the other on Tuesday. Obviously, the little buds have a ways to go, but if you look closely you can see them.

Grandma Jean was in town for the big milestone. She'll be back at Christmas time for more excitement. We'll miss you 'til then!

Nice new look to the blog! I can't believe that he is already a year along. He is looking great! I think that also means that it has been forever since we saw you all. I can't wait until January!

Ah yes, teeth are such a great development. Now he can have more solids to chew on,... and now he can bite you! Abby loved to chomp down on my fingers when I was checking out the new teeth. I highly recommend these chew toys by The First Years that they sell virtually everywhere. They look like a water filled triangle donut on a stick, and they can be thrown in the freezer. There's also a cool one also by The First Years that is shaped like a star on a stick with a suction cup (there's ones with a gripper handle too), and it vibrates when you bite it to massage the gums. Sassy makes some killer products too. I just mention brand names because we've had her bite through the super cheap teethers and I don't know if it's salt water or plain water inside, but I didn't like the fact that she got that fluid in her mouth. Yuck! Good luck!!!
